Dynamic Competence supports key organizational leaders and consultants in the use and application of our products and services.

To this end, we help management develop real, "take action" solutions for issues effecting their organization today, as well as helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively handle organizational issues in the future.

These solutions are brought about through:

➢    Strategic Facilitation Methods developed and refined by the consultants at Dynamic Competence
➢    Dynamic Meeting Planning that provides on-line, interactive planning support for large, diverse collaboratives and workgroups
➢    Management Solutions that build awareness and flexibility to create innovation

Strategic Facilitation:

In today’s world, organizations not only have to deal with internal diversity, they also are expected to create partnerships with other groups who may have completely different organizational cultures.

Dynamic Competence is committed to supporting effective awareness, flexibility and action within and between organizations. Examples include:

➢    Implementation of a series of workshops to build the capacity of the management team for a building materials corporation on the East Coast.  This training helped the management team develop a broader understanding of diversity and to translate that understanding to creating more effective and efficient work environment.
➢    Support for a complex partnership of a large Owner/Developer, six independent contractors, and an environmental monitoring firm in at a major ski resort. The goal of the project was to enable responsible construction by multiple parties, while remaining fully in compliance with State environmental standards. Working closely with key partners, the larger group created common expectations of the project outcomes, built a communication structure that worked to address issues as they arose, and created a culture between the partners that accepted individual agendas while producing common results.
➢    Co-development of an open and transparent public process with a state-wide university system. This process focuses on establishing project boundaries, negotiating constraints for success, and building respect between all partners. Partners in the initial development of a collaborative workplan include representatives from all state and federal resources agencies, regional NGO’s, and local governmental entities.
➢    Leadership in the development of an integrated Public Engagement Strategy for a multi-project, multi-organizational collaboration.  The strategy involves the identification of multiple needs, mandates, prior information, and resources from a wide range of agencies, NGO’s and community groups. Using our Strategic Facilitation methods, this information will be integrated in an effective plan that will be implemented by the larger outreach team.

Dynamic Meeting Planning

Developed though our Strategic Facilitation process, Dynamic Meeting Planning supports large collaboratives, diverse teams, or multi-stakeholder groups. This product allows for on-line discussion and feedback on meeting planning, outcomes, and potential impacts.

Led by an assigned meeting organizer, this tool allows for integration and documentation of multiple perspectives from all interested team members. In addition to posting all of this feedback on a web site, Dynamic Meeting Planning also requires posted feedback from the meeting organizer on any suggestion that is not incorporated into the meeting. We have found this to be a powerful collaborative tool.
Specific discussion items include:

➢    Meeting Purpose
➢    Linkages to Overall Project Goals
➢    Existing Boundaries and Negotiated Constraints
➢    Effects on Partner Relationships
➢    Meeting Pitfalls
